Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our fast-paced product team. This is a hands-on, senior-level role requiring strong expertise in Azure-based data engineering and modern data warehouse architectures.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, strong architectural decision-making capabilities, and the ability to mentor team members while delivering scalable, production-grade data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Architect and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and modern data modeling techniques.
- Build and manage big data processing workflows in Azure Databricks.
- Develop and optimize analytics solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database.
- Implement robust ETL/ELT frameworks ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Write efficient data transformation and orchestration logic using Python for large-scale data processing.
- Lead data integration efforts across multiple sources (APIs, databases, third-party systems).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, analytics, and BI to deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance to junior and mid-level data engineers.
- Continuously improve pipeline performance, cost optimization, and scalability within the Azure ecosystem.
Experience
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and data warehouse development.
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and core data warehousing concepts.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Deep understanding of the Azure ecosystem, including:
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure SQL Database
- Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering workflows.
- Hands-on experience in data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional data modeling.
Good to Have
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization.
